Dozie is an attorney that currently advises governments in Africa on legal and policy issues in the extractive resources sector, through the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET). He currently spends time working on issues related to local content in the oil and gas sector, as well as capacity building initiatives for governments. Dozie has experience working with governments in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Mozambique. He previously worked as an Associate at Vedder Price in Chicago, focused on Mergers and Acquisitions and corporate financial transactions, where he represented individuals, private equity firms and corporate and non-corporate entities in structure, formation and capital investment matters. He also advised buyers and sellers in structuring, negotiating and documenting mergers, asset and stock purchases and other fundamental corporate transactions. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young in Boston.

Dozie was the Secretary to the Board of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms and while at Northwestern University, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Law and Business.
